F. Wahl Construction started in 1957 under its founder Fred Wahl.
This is a family business; Rick Wahl worked closely with his father throughout the years until finally taking over the business in 1977.
During its tenure, F. Wahl Construction built the Westview Apartment Building, the largest building in Medicine Hat at that time, and the first phase of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Grounds Grandstand.
Rick Wahl partnered with his brother, Earl Wahl to create Wahl Builders Ltd. This company continued the tradition of excellence in construction, completing many projects in Medicine Hat, including Phase 2 of the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede Grounds Grandstand.
In 1992, Earl Wahl decided to pursue other interests and left Wahl Builders. Continuing on his own, Rick Wahl transferred the construction operations to the company that he solely owned, Wahl Construction Ltd.
Wahl Construction is 100% locally owned and operated and has successfully completed construction projects, both large and small, in Medicine Hat and South Eastern Alberta. The company is a registered Corporation in the Province of Alberta and holds business licenses in the City of Medicine Hat and surrounding towns. Wahl Construction has worked with a variety of clients in commercial, residential, military, institutional, retail, and industrial areas including:
